We are excited to share some big news: our Lakeland Processing Facility has officially earned TRSA’s Safety and Health Certification! This certification is more than just a title. It reflects the dedication and daily commitment of our Crown team to fostering a workplace where safety and health come first. With this milestone, Crown now holds five national accreditations — a distinction no other laundry company can claim.

TRSA’s newest certification evaluates six major areas that go well beyond basic compliance. These include:

• Training – covering employees, management, and maintenance personnel with a focus on orientation, annual refresher courses, OSHA 30-hour training, Hazard Communication, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Awareness – ensuring weekly and monthly safety communications and maintaining awareness well beyond the initial training period.
• Compliance – verifying the presence and use of manuals, exposure control plans, emergency action plans, and thorough inspections.
• Claims Management – assessing the Workers' Comp process, modified duty programs, claims handling, nurse triage access, investigations, and timely accident reporting.
• Measurement – reviewing safety and risk dashboards, key safety metrics, and OSHA recordkeeping accuracy.
• Worksite Analysis and Hazard Prevention – identifying risks through proactive analysis and ensuring effective prevention and control methods are in place.

Lakeland is proud to be the first Crown location to participate in TRSA’s new Safety and Health Certification program — and we’re thrilled to announce that the facility passed with flying colors. While other laundries were part of TRSA’s beta phase, Crown Lakeland is the only one that successfully passed.

We’re setting the bar high, and we’re just getting started. Our goal is to have all 10 Crown processing facilities certified by the end of 2027. Crown is leading the way with 5-Fold Certification and 5-Star Treatment.
